Life. Sometimes it hard for me to come to grips with getting through it day to day. While my basic goal is just to enjoy life as much as possible I've reached a very difficult crossroads for me.
I've had a lot of enjoyment coming to Innesboard and as you could probably tell, Music is my great escape, i.e., it's easy for me to dive into music to escape some of the harsh realities of every day existence. And at the same time, music, for me is also part of my own enjoyable reality. But then sometimes there is something else in reality that clobbers us and can lead to a total breakdown and destruction of life. I have a big problem to deal with right now, so I'm going to take a temporary leave of absence from Innesboard. I want to do this so I can focus on and face my problem (problems) head on. I've been in a very long wrestling match with Doctors and Gram and Percy. Although I've been in denial for a long time, the kettle has finally reached the boiling point and I finally had to admit I have a problem with anorexia. I have to go into a rehab program setting where there will be strict controls on my daily activity. I realize they (docs, Gram, Percy) are trying to help me. I don't know how long this process might take. I do plan on coming back (here), but I also feel a need to get away from the internet and most television and some other activities so I can focus more on my problems. I've got a lot of music loaded into my sony walkman including Neil Innes and The Bonzo Dog Band and Amy Winehouse and Karen Carpenter and my personal favorite Prince. So I'll still have my music to enjoy. And DVD movies. And books to read. But basically other than that I'm dropping out of society for a while. Percy says he'll keep me up to date with Innesboard and although he got away from email and the computer in a big way (he still uses it to read news articles and health research for him and Gram and me) he said he is going to look into starting his own email account so he can get back on Innesboard again (even if he only does an occasional post).
So now I'm leaving. I Don't know how long I'll be gone. And I'm standing at the Crossroads trying to choose the right road to take so I can go on with my life. I got away from drinking, I got away from drugs, but now I'm addicted to an obsession called anorexia. see you later. Chass

My late wife was bulimic for years, so I know how difficult and serious this is. You probably won't read this until you return. But I'll be thinking of you.

Hang in there, work on yourself, and forget all the unimportant stuff. We'll be here when you you're ready.
