introduces Ken:
"I'd like to bring a friend of mine onstage
now. I met him in '94 here at Chicago Beatlefest. We'd been
in touch over the years on the internet and finding old archive
stuff, stuff I'd lost he'd found. He came over on vacation to
the UK and I said come around and see me, and he came around
and stayed for a night and I started playing him some of my
new songs, and he picked up one of my other guitars and started
whizzing about on it and I said "hang on, you're pretty good!"
... 'hang on, you're bloody good! How come you didn't let me
know you played the guitar? So anyway I've twisted his arm,
given him several chinese burns and he's gonna come onstage
and play some new songs and some Rutle songs... would you please
give a very warm Chicago welcome to Mr. Ken Thornton." |
